Abstract

Top of Page
Methods and systems for providing an augmented reality system for the display of a three-dimensional primitive skeleton with reactive physics for dance on the Internet are disclosed. In one instance, an augmented reality system may: identify a body within a three-dimensional environment; replace the body's joints with three-dimensional primitives that may be released from their sockets to mimic popping-like dance manoeuvres; display an image of the body's joints as three-dimensional primitives in the three-dimensional environment and share it live over the Internet; determine at least one of distance and orientation of the three-dimensional primitive on the body from the camera with the help of Mircosoft's Kinect depth sensing camera; identify a body within the three-dimensional environment; and perform three-dimensional tracking of the joints of the subject such that extra-human body popping may take place best demonstrated by dancing to Lil' Wayne's Drop the World.
